The most miserable astronaut in history: The country is gone, he floated in space for 311 days

The vastness of the vast space is silent, and how lonely a person can wander in the vast empty space, and today we are going to introduce this "the most miserable astronaut in history."

When he was floating in space, his country was gone. He was floating for nearly a year. How did he live in space for so long? Who gave him food for nearly a year? How did he return to Earth?

The name of the astronaut was Sergei Krikalev. He was born in Leningrad in 1958. He had a strong interest in machinery since he was a child. He grew up and was admitted to the Leningrad Institute of Mechanical Engineering. After graduation, he joined the Aerospace Group.

In 1985, Krikalev was selected by the Soviet aviation department and became an astronaut. !

In 1988, Krikalev entered the Mir space station on the Alliance TM-7 spacecraft. After 115 days, he successfully completed his mission and returned to Earth.

On May 18, 1991, Krikalev flew into space again. However, what he did not dream of was that he worked in space and his country was gone.

On December 26, 1991, the powerful Soviet Union fell apart, the Soviet Union collapsed, and broke into 15 countries. The countries were in a mess and were busy with the Soviet Union. They forgot that there was a Soviet astronaut in space -Sergei Krikalev

Although Krikalev is temporarily unable to go back to the earth, the country has not, but Krikalev has always maintained an optimistic attitude, and he firmly believes that he will one day be able to return to Earth.

Fortunately, Krikalev is not alone in space, and there is another Volkov who just came to the space station in October to prepare to succeed Krikalev. Together in the space silently waiting.

They did not expect this to be nearly a year. In a period of time, they were forgotten by the motherland. Russia has no energy to manage them. So how did they survive?

Thanks to NASA's delivery of basic supplies to them, the two did not die of starvation.
It was not until March 1992 that Russia remembered that two astronauts were still floating in space, so they sent the spacecraft to pick them up.

On March 17, 1992, Krikalev and Volkov, who had been stranded in space for 311 days, returned to Earth. Space drifted for nearly a year. When they returned, the country changed, from the Soviet Union to Russia, Krikalev. Known as the "last Soviet."

Since then, Krikalev has been engaged in the aerospace industry and is known as the "Soviet Hero" and "Russian Hero".

In 2007, Krikalev officially retired. He spent 803 days, 9 hours and 39 minutes in space, creating a world record. No one can break it.
